Breathe & Relax
We wanted to share with you some techniques that we have started as a team and individually in the salon that can help you refocus and remain calm and centred.
One technique that we wanted to share with you is something called the “relaxing breath”. It is a 4-7-8 breathing technique that involves breathing in for 4 seconds, holding the breath for 7 seconds, and exhaling for 8 seconds.
It requires the focus of taking a long, deep breath in and out. Rhythmic breathing is a core part of many meditation and yoga as it promotes relaxation.
So at some stage today we encourage all our clients to find a moment to focus on your breathing, focus on calm, focus on YOU.
The Relaxing Breath
▪️Empty the lungs of air
▪️Breathe in quietly through the nose for 4 seconds
▪️Hold the breath for a count of 7 seconds ▪️Exhale through the mouth for 8 seconds
Repeat up to 3 times
